About Melanie
I bring a unique blend of technical depth, executive leadership, and coaching expertise to every engagement. From starting my career as a machinist to serving on executive teams, I’ve learned how to navigate uncertainty, pick up complex concepts quickly, and make complicated systems simple. My superpower lies in combining systems thinking with human-centered leadership — creating clarity where there’s complexity and momentum where there’s gridlock.
At my core, I believe in possibility and cultivating a growth mindset. My guiding principles are simple: leave things better than you found them and trust but verify. These values shape how I lead, coach, and partner with others — balancing optimism with pragmatism, and always creating space for options and opportunities.
Outside of work, I recharge by exploring the woods, reading anything I can get my hands on, and spending time with my family. These moments in nature and learning fuel the energy and fresh perspective I bring into my work with leaders and organizations.
About Uphill Coaching
Life is never flat. We tackle mountains to reach the view, hike to explore new terrain, and sometimes face unexpected boulders along the path.
Successfully navigating uphill — whether aligning teams, executing strategy, or driving organizational change — requires knowing what to carry, what to leave behind, and when to pause to assess and adjust.
Uphill Coaching guides you and your organization through this journey, helping you clarify vision, align priorities, and take purposeful steps that drive real impact.
